Saint Charbel Makhlouf was a Lebanese Maronite hermit from the mid 19th century. He was an incorruptible saints whose tomb was opened in 1899 due to a bright light which shone from the inside of it. Many miracles are attributed to his intercession, especially during the year after his tomb was opened for the public in 1950. The inspiration for this shirt comes from Saint Charbel's pious observance of raising his eyes only to God. During his monastic life, no one but his fellow monks saw his face. Even until his death.
"A man who prays lives out the mystery of existence, and a man who does not pray scarcely exists." - Saint Charbel Makhlouf
